History

The Cheese Expertise Center (CEC) is a non-profit organization created in 2010 following a major listeria crisis in Quebec. At that time, both the Agriculture Ministry and the cheese industry decided to raise the organization, so it could support the craft cheese making facilities. Today, this organization is independent, and it is mainly financed by different actors of the industry. This include the milk producers and the Quebec milk board called Le Conseil des industriels laitiers du Québec. We service the whole Canada since the year 2018.

The CEC has a public strategic plan just revised and effective until 2023.
